London Porter

Meantime Brewing Company ABV: 6.5%
Meantime is one of London’s newer breweries, but these beersmiths dig deep into the past to fabricate their lineup of historically influenced lagers and ales, such as their London Stout (formulated without roasted barley) and this porter packed with seven malts and a slew of earthy Fuggles hops. The deep brown beer’s aroma of lightly roasted malt and cocoa leads to zigzagging flavors of coffee, toffee, and peat smoke. London Porter starts smooth and creamy and concludes with a dry, somewhat bitter finish.

Fuller'ss London Porter

Fuller Smith & Turner PLC ABV: 5.4%
"Rich, dark and complex" is the slogan for this admired British brew made with crystal, chocolate, and brown malts as well as fruity and vegetal Fuggles hops. The snazzy dark-brown brew is streaked with ruby highlights, and its nose shouts, "Get your malt here! And your pipe tobacco and toffee candy too!" There's some sweetness in the sipping as well as enough chocolate and bread to thrill those who like to start their day with Nutella on toast.
