Lagunitas Czech Style Pilsner

Lagunitas Brewing Company ABV: 6.2%
"It’s a beer built for someone who’s not a hophead." That's how Lagunitas touts its glowing golden Pils with a bright and spicy bouquet—those are the Saaz hops talking. Though the ABV is a touch higher than I’d like, Pils wears its strength well and slakes thirst with its tingly carbonation and pure flavors of biscuits and a lemony snap.

Pilsner Urquell

Pilsner Urquell Brewery ABV: 4.4%
The classic Czech beer has been in production since 1842, back when the country was called Bohemia. Although the recipe has shifted over the ensuing 170 years, Urquell remains rock-solid. The snappy, golden pilsner—backed by a hint of grapes—is as fizzy and quenching as New York City seltzer. In 2012, the brewery started cold shipping the beer from the Czech Republic, ensuring a fresher product.
